1. Overview

EdenFi is a self-custodial ERC-4337 smart wallet app that enables users to create smart accounts, send and receive USDC, and interact through secure in-app messaging. The app is designed with a strong commitment to privacy, security, and transparency.

This policy, in combination with in-app disclosures, explains how your data is accessed, used, and stored.

2. Data We Access and Collect

a) Wallet Information

• Smart Wallet Address: Created and managed on-chain. Not linked to any personally identifiable information.

• Referral Code: Generated at signup and stored to manage referral rewards.

• Email Address: Used to generate OTPs (one-time passcodes) for secure access to the wallet.

b) Device and App Usage Data

We collect limited, non-personal device information to enhance app performance and user experience:

• Device type and OS version

• IP address (temporarily, for network requests)

c) Media File Access and Storage

When users send images or videos via EdenFi’s in-app chat feature, the following applies:

• Users manually select media using the device’s native photo/video picker.

• EdenFi does not scan or access media in the background.

• Only media explicitly chosen by the user is accessed.

• All sent photos and videos are stored securely on EdenFi’s backend servers to support chat functionality.

• Photos and videos may also be used by the user for face-based biometric authentication, initiated explicitly by the user.

• When users send voice notes or audio messages through the in-app chat feature, these audio files are also stored securely on EdenFi’s backend servers and are not processed ephemerally

3. How We Use Your Data

We use collected data solely for the following purposes:

• Enabling wallet creation and blockchain transactions

• Supporting referral tracking and reward distribution

• Delivering secure in-app chat and media sharing functionality

• Providing optional face-based biometric authentication

• Enhancing app performance, detecting fraud, and ensuring platform security

• Enabling storage and playback of user-submitted voice notes in the chat feature

We do not use or share your data for advertising, marketing, or profiling purposes.

4. Data Sharing

EdenFi does not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

We may share minimal, non-personal data with trusted infrastructure partners for technical and operational support:

• Alchemy, Web3Auth – blockchain infrastructure

• Hetzner Cloud – secure server hosting

• Media storage servers – to store images and videos uploaded through chat

Third-party on-ramp/off-ramp tools (e.g., YellowCard, ThirdWeb) operate independently and handle KYC/payment data under their own privacy policies. EdenFi does not collect or store this data.

5. User Control and Transparency

• Users can choose whether or not to upload photos or videos in the app.

• Media shared in chat is retained on our servers but can be deleted by the user at any time.

• Wallets and private keys remain fully under the user’s control.

• We do not collect names, phone numbers, or other personally identifying information.

• Users can request account or media deletion through our account deletion portal.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Photos and videos sent through chat are stored for continued chat access and support. 

• Voice notes are stored and can be deleted upon account deletion request

• Users may request full deletion of their account and related data.

7. Security Measures

We employ industry-standard security practices, including:

• End-to-end encryption for in-app messaging

• Secure HTTPS connections for all network communication

• Role-based access controls and encrypted data storage

• No storage of private keys or user credentials on our servers

8. Children’s Privacy

EdenFi is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or our website before taking effect.
